Questions
If yours is not here, write to us and ask. We answer plainly.
Money
What does it cost our group?
Nothing, in any model. There is no joining fee and no minimum spend.
On Team Table you collect the orders first, then pay us, then we print. You never buy a book you have not already sold. On Doorstep and One Price there is nothing for your group to pay at all.
How much does our group actually keep?
$9.00 a book on Team Table and on Doorstep, $7.00 on One Price. Those are the real numbers.
Your group does not keep the whole sale price. The rest covers printing, shipping, card fees and running the service.
When do we get the money?
On Team Table you are holding it the whole time, because your families pay you directly. You pay us for the batch and keep the difference.
On Doorstep and One Price we pay your group within 30 days of your selling window closing.
What if your costs go up mid campaign?
We tell you before it takes effect and adjust your per book amount so the change is covered. You can also close your window early instead.
On Team Table every batch is quoted when you order it, so the price you are told is the price you pay.
Who handles sales tax?
If your group collects money from families, any sales tax on that is your group's to handle. We are not able to advise on it, and your treasurer or accountant should be the one to answer it.
The book
Do our members draw the pages?
No. We draw them, using what you tell us about your group. Nobody has to collect artwork from families, and nothing depends on whether anyone in your group can draw.
What is actually in it?
48 pages, perfect bound with a printed spine. Coloring pages drawn from your group, plus word searches, mazes, crosswords, sudoku, color by number, spot the difference and pages for drawing your own.
Answer keys are in the back.
Can we use our logo?
Yes, if your group owns it.
A league's or a national body's logo needs that body's written permission. That ask is yours to make, not ours, and we will not put it on a cover without it.
Do you use photos or names of children?
No photos of children appear in anything we make or publish.
We never print a child's name without written permission from a parent for that child. Our default is no names at all.
Do we get to see it before it prints?
Yes. You see the whole book and sign off before anything is printed.
Running it
What if we cannot sell very many?
Team Table starts at 25 books. Below that the setup takes both of us the same three weeks it would for a run four times the size, and your group raises under $240, so we would rather say so than walk you through it.
Doorstep and One Price print one book at a time and have no minimum at all. Tell us your realistic number and we will tell you which one fits.
How long does the whole thing take?
About two weeks to build the book, two to three weeks for your families to order, then about three weeks to print and deliver. Call it eight weeks end to end.
How do we keep track of who ordered what?
You get a leader dashboard. It counts the books and the money as orders arrive, lists who still owes, counts down to your close date and builds a share card for the team chat. Sign in with your own email, and add co-leaders so it is not all on one person.
Your families never see that list. The public progress page they see shows totals only, because it is never given a buyer's name. Look at the dashboard.
How much work is this for the organiser?
Fifteen minutes to answer our five questions, then sharing a link. We write the text messages, the emails and the social posts for you.
On Team Table, add collecting the money and handing out the books.
What kind of groups is this for?
Any group with people who would buy something to support it. Teams, troops, schools, clubs, bands, booster groups, rescues, church groups, community organisations.
If your group has a story and a reason, there is a book in it.
Can we run it again next year?
Yes, and the second one is easier because we already know your group. A new edition with new pages works better than reprinting the same book.
Can we keep this on our phones?
Yes. Every page is built for a phone first, which is where most of your families will see it. Open any page, tap your browser's share button and choose Add to Home Screen. It installs like an app: its own icon, no address bar, opens straight to the page.
Worth doing for two pages in particular. Your progress page, so one tap shows where you stand and hands you a share card. And your order page, so you can pull it up at a game without hunting for a link.
Nothing to install from an app store and nothing to update. It is the website, in an app's clothing.
Still have a question?
Ask it. We would rather tell you it is not a fit than waste your time.
